This magnificent work, a must-read and part of the library of anyone interested in numismatics and medal making, brings together list
of thousands of medals and plaques with 1,172 images on almost 600 pages, in more than 2,100 mostly biographical medallions (2,136 authors, manufacturers or mints).

The result of the author’s 25 years of study of the field presents here sculptors, medallists, engravers and other artists from the Renaissance to the present day, both those who live or lived and worked in the territory of the countries of the Czech Crown and Slovakia, both natives who found their way abroad and foreign artists whose works are related to these countries. It also takes note of both official mints and private mints.
The medallions contain basic biographical data, exhibition summaries, awards, and above all, the most complete lists of the medallists‘ work (for our artists) and lists of the medallists‘ work related to these countries (for foreign artists), including data and dimensions. There is also an indication of further literature, possible references in catalogues, exhibitions, etc.

Mám záujem o občasné zasielanie noviniek Medailérskeho klubu (Medaila roka, nové medaily a pod.) – asi tak 1-2x do roka, aby Vám neušlo nič dôležité, ako Medaila roka 🙂 (Nezabudnite následne potvrdiť potvrdzovací e-mail, že ste to naozaj vy, príp. skontrolujte spam/nevyžiadanú poštu). Vďaka!
